Always keep your vendors’ bids private that are issued to your company. Do not share written proposals with other unrelated competitors. For one main reason, you may be sued for doing it. The worst aftereffect of exposing bids is the inability to get anyone’s attention to you when you want outside bids. The reason you keep bids private is that you promised to do so, you want your correspondence with that firm to be private also.  You also may want to solicit them and receive bids in the future and that very firm you used and paid in the past may have the best proposal for you.
