IDEA: To increase potential sales contacts, ask all of your employees where they, their friends and family used to work.

Many times the best way to gain access into a new company is through a referral.  Your employees have many contacts and do not realize the wealth they have in just their previous acquaintances.  The have a number of neighbors, their spouses and their associated family members and all of the  places where they and their friends and family used to work. Gather them up from your employees and sort them in alpha company order and give them to sales personnel as a starting point.  Your purchasing agents may also like to see who in your company knows some key current and potential vendors.
