Convince your company neighbors to try your purchasing vendors, then with those neighbors negotiate cost cuts for both of you and both save money. Ask your neighbors to consider trying out some of your current vendors in order for both of you to save money on your leveraged increased volume. If your neighbor has a better vendor opportunity, try his vendor if you wish. Otherwise, ask the neighboring companies to try out your vendor and if pleased, sit the vendor down and ask how he will cut both of your costs. Tell him he should save money on higher volumes (volume discounts), less freight costs (shared trips) and two customers that most likely will not drop him due to the cost savings each enjoy. Try a few of these ideas for this approach.
