Teach all of your employees courtesy and to be friendly with all customers every day. This includes the lot boy who is gathering shopping carts and says “Thank you for coming”. This includes the stockers in the aisle who see a need and help shoppers reach items on the top shelf. This means not only the President who needs to say “Thanks for shopping with us” on every commercial but also the smiling cashier who counts out the change to a customer and adds before he leaves “Thanks for your business”. You want customers to return so act like it and say it. Customers need to hear from everyone that works for your company so they will be more likely to want to return.
