Ask distributors about customer feedback. What is selling? What is not selling? What is too expensive? What do customers want? What do they not want? Distributors know what is missing in the market. They are asked by store owners for cheese popcorn, smokeless mint e-cigarettes, baby diapers and a list of other items that customers mention multiple times every day. Distributors know what sells and what does not sell. They have to haul it back out of the store if it does not sell. They hear from the store owners what they want to sell because customers have been asking for it. When you ask your distributors what is missing in the market, also ask at what price? Be prepared to evaluate whether your company can feasibly fill that void at those competitive market prices.
