You want to know about missing purchase orders if they claim their MTD billings are short. Publish these reports daily and make it easily accessible for them. You want them to know they are running ahead or behind their targets. If behind they will still have time to save their current incentive program given they can secure more sales orders before monthend. Do not make them wonder where they stand for new orders throughout the month. They need to be thinking about their next sales call and not your absent sales commission report.
