IDEA: Are your meetings effective? Have participants grade their impact and find out what to change.

Have your employees grade long or extended meetings, financial reviews, quarterly financial meetings, etc.  Ask what they did not understand, what was missed, what was not clear, what was too long, who should not be involved or excluded or included, what do they need to discuss that was not, what, which speaker or slide or presentation was confusing?  The first improvement you may wish to implement is a time limit on any meeting so participants can schedule other events or meetings.  Second suggestion for the meeting is to have the speaker do everything he or she can to stop or limit his own talking and ask the participants questions?   What is keeping your from getting more sales?  What department needs improvement that will help increase company growth?  The more the participants can talk, state their case about a subject and have an impact, the higher the meeting scores will be. If they wish to remain anonymous, arrange for questions to be sent over the internet in a canned survey with options for comments, unsigned.
