Ask your office supplies company to run for you a report that reflects your YTD purchases arranged from the highest cost $ item to the lowest. You need to find the highest dollars to cut. Tell your office supplies representative you are fairly sure you want to keep his company as your vendor but you need his help control costs.  Tell him since he knows these types of products well, please come up with some suggestions that you can implement with his company that will cut your costs.
