When you receive calls from accounts payable (AP) representatives of your customers telling you of their intended payments or issues with your invoices, note their direct telephone numbers on your company’s digital readout. At this point, you will have the rare opportunity to get hold of the direct telephone number of the person who is responsible to pay you every week. Do not miss it.
When you listen to your messages, be ready to write down the telephone numbers as they appear when each of your voicemails are replayed. They will normally be displayed while you listen to the message. Write this telephone number down since it is key in reaching those employees of your customer who are responsible for paying you.
