GPI 181 – Can a visitor read your website in languages other than English?

Can you change the language of your company website to languages other than English?  Depending upon your product and location of your market, this may be something you might want to consider since there are 45 million Hispanics in the U.S.  (2011) Houston has the 2nd largest Hispanic population in the U.S.  It also has the 2nd largest Vietnamese population in the U.S.  Should companies there consider having available literature in Spanish and Vietnamese?  It is something to consider.

One good example of an industry that has changed and expanded the number of languages used because of the country’s changing demographics is the construction industry.  Many instructions in Home Depot and Lowes are available in Spanish, especially directions for the use of products on the job.

Is there anything we missed?
