Help your customers. When asked or given the opportunity, share your cost reduction ideas and savings programs with them. If you have found a great property tax protest agency, give out their name. If you have found good prices on materials or office supplies, pass on the lead to your clients. Tell them you have no financial interest in the recommendation but hope they save money because you appreciate their business and want to share savings.

- Reliable local transportation companies.
- Long haul freight companies.
- Local delivery services.
- Local courier services.
- Uniforms, rugs and production rags.
- Food delivery services.
- Low cost office supplies.
- Great sources for used pallets.
- Vendors for lawn maintenance or building maintenance.
- Quality painters.
- All forms of outside services. (i.e. Heat-treating, sawing metal, finishing, plating services, assembly work, payroll services, customs agents, etc.)
- Banks for lines of credit.
- Capital leasing companies with desirable interest rates.
- Banks that will pay off debts and replace with cheaper interest rate monies and desirable payoff periods.
- Printing companies (i.e. Brochures, inventory tags, shipping labels and manual instructions).
- Competitive scrap companies (i.e. Wood, metal, plastics).
Why do all of this? Why not do this and beat the hell out of your competition? What competitor of yours is helping the customers save money in this manner? The answer to that is most likely none of the competitors are offering this advice so be the first. Are the customers going to be upset you helped them to save money? No, they will realize no one else in the market is doing these things and will most likely value your relationship more, once you begin helping them.
Help your customer in a unique way and stand out in the crowd, a great profit idea.
