How much is your automobile insurance per year? You are mostly likely very aware of this cost and think about it every time you hear that one of your drivers has had an accident, gotten a ticket, backed into a car in a private lot, or simply got ticketed for parking the company truck, 18-wheeler, delivery van, station wagon incorrectly.
Pay them a premium to be excellent drivers. Start a program to award drivers for no accidents or no tickets. Award them $100 per quarter, $50 per month or whatever you decide, but make it a frequent occurrence so they get to start over soon again if they fail.
What is cheaper – incentives or insurance premiums/deductibles? You cannot afford the insurance hikes from constant tickets, accidents and other bad driver behaviors. Make it pay off financially for your drivers to drive flawlessly. The costs are nothing compared to the alternative.
