GPI 357 – Put a picture book in the lobby to show visitors what your do.

Accumulate all of the product pictures you can and put them into simple binders for visitors to browse.  Many times it is easier for your customers to see what you do versus hearing your description of your services. Show them.

Ideas for a picture book:

  • Assemble all of the pictures and have them bound or published (online) as a magazine or book.
  • Pass out copies of your magazine for your sales personnel to disburse to potential customers. Showing pictures will eliminate the possibility of the customer not understanding your capabilities.
  • Minimize the text. Describe in very few words what each photo represents; get to the point because most do not want or have time to read advertising. Show them.
  • Put the current year on the front of the magazine (i.e. 2014 ABC Company).
  • Try to obtain pictures of your products or services being used by your customers.
  • Show them large projects.
  • Show them complicated projects to stress your capabilities.
  • Show them your products in action, stress, multiple uses and point out benefits derived by the buyer.
  • Run a contest and pay your customers for the best photos of product use. Put 100 of the best shots into a magazine to hand out to customers or to place in the lobbies of all of your facilities.
  • Put minimal text for explanations. Fewer words add punch and impact. Do not worry about writing a lot of copy to attempt to describe every boring detail you offer. Show potential buyers the results or benefits of buying from you. Demonstrate what your firm can do or offer or improve for all customers.
