When you are having collection problems or are trying to discover who the owner is of a pastdue customer, look to the website of your state’s attorney general. When companies register, some business owners will not hire an outside registered agent, save money and list themselves and their home address as the registered agent for the business. Google search “Texas corporation search” (substitute your state) and find the business registration for the customer. Look to see who the registered agent is. If the owner did not hire an outside registered agency, he will be listed and that is where you can start collection procedures if you are not getting any responses.
