IDEA: Install monitoring devises (ELDS) on your vehicles to cut your costs and penalty risks.

Install monitoring devices in the vehicles to watch for speeding, heavy or sudden braking (ELDs, electronic logging devices installed on vehicles that log driver speed, hard braking, time with no breaks, poor driving habits, etc.).   These devices when installed and monitored by your traffic department will help to keep insurance rates low for your good drivers. If you do not have the time to monitor the driving, it can be done as a service for as little $50 to $100 per driver per month.  This is far cheaper than one $1,500 DOT fine.
