IDEA: Ask everyone, “What is the one thing you would change about our product?”

Ask your customers questions regularly about your product or service. You have to in order to try to lengthen your product’s market life.  You must change it and improve it as much as you can until one day you are forced to develop another product (which is costly and risks company capital if unsuccessful).  Ask everyone every day this question about your product: employees, vendors, guests and visitors to your website or visitors in your lobby.  Always give your contributors the option to keep their comments private. Consider giving cash for great ideas and tell everyone when you do disperse awards.
