IDEA: Your customers are not always creative so help them with handouts starting at the front door.

Most customers are not creative. In order to sell your goods and services you must help them understand the benefits of buying from you. They may not be able to conceptualize the benefits your products offer so you must help them.  Here are some various ideas to try: samples of your products offered at your front door, complimentary to-do lists (preprinted shopping lists or preprinted how-to-do instructions), items featured on sale this week (changed every week to keep bargain shopper interest), “good or hot deals” this week, easy recipes (with all of the ingredients available) or easy methods to do something tedious, place bargain items in front of them at the front door, offer complimentary products throughout the store or while they are standing in line to check out, remind clients of upcoming deadlines (tax filings) and schedules (oil changes, maintenance) or offer email reminders or messages about the market they may be interested in.
